Alongside her advisory work, Clarisse maintains an active research interest in family offices, succession, governance and legacy.
PhD, Bond University. Her thesis, Family Legacy vs. Modern Realities: Contemporary Issues in Business Families, explored how contemporary business families navigate issues of governance, succession, power, and next-generation commitment while balancing inherited legacy with the realities of a changing world. Bond University explored one of the most important themes of her research in Why family empires fall.
Her research has been presented at the Family Enterprise Research Conference (FERC) in 2024, and International Family Enterprise Research Academy (IFERA) conference in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.
